2011/2012 POST GRADUATE

 SCHOLARSHIP AWARD SCHEME

Nigerian Agip Exploration Limited (NAE), on behalf of the NNPC/NAE/OANDO PSC, is committed to the training and development of manpower as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.

In pursuance of this, NAE invites application from suitably qualified and interested Nigerian graduates for the 2011/2012 Post Graduate Award Scheme. The award is in two categories-Nigerian and Overseas.

ELIGIBILITY

To qualify, applicants MUST:

·         Possess a minimum of Second Class Upper Bachelors degree from a recognized Nigerian University.

·         Must have secured admission into a Nigeria or Overseas University (based on the category being applied for) for a one year Master Degree Programme in any of the discipline listed below.

·         Not above 30 years of age by December 2011

COURSE OF STUDY

Only candidate with offer of admission in discipline related to the following areas should apply;

·         Geosciences

·         Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Sub Sea, Electrical, Marine, Chemical)

·         Petroleum Economics

·         Oil and Gas Law

7 Questions you must ask to make the next 6 month your best month

Welcome to the 7th month, the second part of the year. I have been chatting with some of my friends, fans and students and one thing was coming upper most in all of my conversations with them. Most people are aware that the month has started. but not all knows that we have entered into the second part of the year.
One thing I have found out about success is that it is not by accident. You do not plant cassava and reap rice. If you are moving towards success or failure, you already know inside of you.  As we enter into the second part of the year, you will need to ask yourself the following ten questions to determine how you have fared in the past six months and how you are going to be successful in the next six months.
What did I accomplish in the past six months? Knowing what you have accomplished in the past six months will enable you to know where you are headed to. You must therefore take a sniffing of your achievement no matter how little it is.
What were my biggest disappointments in the past six months and what can I learn from it? Yes, we are human and we all live with both good and bad experiences. Knowing and nothing  your biggest disappointments will give you a great strength in trying to avoid same and use it to your advantage in the next six months.
What did I learn in the past six months? You would have learned some great things from  the past six months based on your experience be it good or bad. Knowing what you learned and using the lessons to your advantage will help to make your next six months the best months yet.
How am I limiting myself and how can I stop this attitude? Yes, in our life, sometimes we limit ourselves. I have encounter those who believe they are never do well until I talk out the victor in them. we are all created to be somebody but sometime, we limit ourselves believing we are inferior. This brings a lot of complex and affect our success. You must start taking responsibility of who you are, how you act and know that you can be who you want to be. “what the mind can conceive, the mind can achieve”. Stop having the feelings of I cannot be successful, start thinking about possibility, start looking within and bringing out the creativity in you. You were born great.
What are my personal values and how can I improve them? Knowing your value is important in life. You were created by a supreme being GOD. You cannot be a valueless person. You have worth that is much more worth than gold. You have integrity. You have class. Your goal is important for the next six months, but what is the driving force that is making you go for that goal?  I have often encounter people who tells me they want to improve their lives, get the best wife or husband, get a nice car or become successful. But when I ask them, what is the driving force, they cant explain. If you have the value of impacting lives for good and them can do that passionately, you will make money and so the force of impacting lives is what drives you. If you do not have this value and focus only on money, then you will miss it as you will not have return customers in the near future.
What Role do I play to make success in my life? Yes, you are the person. You play a major role in your life and success. You are the driver and what you do affect you directly. take a decision, make positive changes and change the entire course of your life from now.
What is my major roles and focus next six months? You will need to ask yourself your major roles for next six months.  Who are my friends and who will my friend be, what kind of family do I want to have, my wife and what i want to improve in her if I am already married, my relationship, my home and how I want it to be, my children as well as my mentors. What will be my role in these people. You need to look into this area. You also need to fragment your roles in each of these areas.
What are my list of top 12 goals for next six months and how will I achieve them? This is the most critical factor to consider to be successful in the next six months. You will need to take a pen and paper and list the top 12 goals for next six months and list what you must do to achieve them. never deviate but strive to and you will thank yourself.
